With the SIH 3011 reader scemtec put a successor type of the well-established SIH 3000/3001 series on the market which was a success already at the stage of its introduction in the market.
AGA Médical S.A. in Toulouse, one of the most important producers of medicinal gases world-wide, has accompanied its development and is already profiting from the innovative technology of the equipment in the area of gas identification which will be made obligatory from the middle of the year 2002 according to the present strict European standards for gas identification.
Transponders (electronic identification labels, also referred to as tags) of any kind of shape and of different manufacturers can be read by the universal read head of the device. Information such as manufacturer’s name, filling date, kind of gas etc. can be written in a non-contact way to the ring- or coin shaped tags attached to gas cylinders as easily as they can be read. Even in challenging conditions like metal coatings tags can be read without any problem. The device can be operated with both a handheld out of the SHT 3100 series and usual standard handheld units like the PSION Workabout.
One of the remarkable features of this new reader is its equally robust and attractive ergonomic industrial design.
scemtec would like to point out that of course the use for any other application is possible. Wherever there is a need for accurate and reliable identification the SIH 3011 will be capable of proving its universal qualities owing to the tag compatibility throughout Europe.
The easy operation of the device combined with the fact that data are exchanged at remarkable speed (autoscan-mode ) and not at least the high-volume buzzer are further significant advantages of this modern identification and data collection terminal SIH 3011.
