next to no time, scemtec’s exclusive RFID tunnel antenna systems for
passive 13.56 MHz transponders have proven their worth in many
different automatic identification projects using RFID (Radio Frequency
Identification) technology.
Systems houses from the
automation, laundry, pharmaceuticals, trade and transport logistics
sectors are now increasingly using these special, customer-specific
solutions from scemtec in order to solve the difficulties posed by
transponder position-dependence in passive RFID systems.
Because of their special design, the tunnel antennas enable the X, Y
and Z axes in the tunnel interior to be fully recorded for the first
time.
The scemtec engineers can install the tunnel antennas in various sizes.
In connection with the scemtec SHL-2001 RFID reader system and the
newly developed analog antenna multiplexer, the antennas can be
switched without any wear and tear. As a result, the switched antenna
systems do not require any service or maintenance, unlike previous,
obsolete systems that were switched using relays.
Another technical milestone for tunnel systems is the first-ever
synchronisation of scemtec RFID read-write systems. This accomplishment
will allow the performance of tunnel systems to be improved even
further, which is why scemtec expects to expand the range of possible
uses for this extremely innovative technology. The company has
particularly set its sights on sectors that still use conventional
optical identification technologies (barcodes).
