Many thanks for visiting!
We were pleased to meet you at the Scemtec Transponder Technology stand at the Fachpack LogIntern 2006 trade fair in Nuremberg. If you were unable to visit the trade fair allow us to offer an insight into some of our latest ideas.
Our stand was located in hall 7, stand number 240d. This was also the location for the successful RFID show, “LogID Square”, which our company was happy to support with demo equipment. Our stand was located in the immediate vicinity of the forum. This played host to some very interesting specialist lectures concerning the burning issues of automatic identification.

We were particularly proud to be able to present live to you our latest synchronized “gate systems” – a new development from scemtec. Each of the three individual “gate antenna” were being operated simultaneously “synchronously” with an “SHL 2001” 13.56 MHz long range reader from scemtec.
Only in this way is it possible to operate the antenna systems so close (without mutually disruptive influences) simultaneously with in each case one reader and hence with maximum performance. It is now possible to flawlessly cover and monitor broad transmission areas with 13.56 MHz RFID.

This has often been copied, but never achieved! Our demonstrably effective 3-D RFID tunnel antenna for detecting 13.56 MHz transponders in undefined alignments. The “tunnel” we exhibited at the trade show is just a small example of the efficiency of these RFID Ident systems. Tunnel antenna systems of this kind have been developed by scemtec engineers to be application specific. They are precisely adapted to the scemtec long-range RFID read / write systems. The tunnel at the show was being run with three antennas with a scemtec long-range reader and the built-in “Multiplexer” option for the sequential operation of the antennas. Larger systems with up to six antennas are already being implemented in many applications in industry and ensure the further development of automatic identification with RFID in the area of item tagging with
13.56 MHz ISO 15693 transponders.

Our stand was also demonstrating another live application – our new development of the SIR 2610. A read / write device for 13.56 MHz transponders. With this new product scemtec is also setting the standard in the midrange area of RFID write / read systems. The SIR 2610 has a built-in antenna for detecting RFID data medium. The device also has a connection for connecting separate individual antennas with an impedance of 50 Ohm. The system is particularly suitable for the area of industrial identification on account of its digital I/Os using which the system can also undertake control tasks as well as identification. This way, sensors (e.g. light barriers) or actuators (e.g. electric servomotors) can be switched using the RFID read / write devices. The SIR 2610 is also available with an Ethernet interface. Using 3 devices live on the Ethernet bus we were able to demonstrate the astounding performance of the “middle one”.

As an advocate of “wireless data transmission” we were particularly pleased to be able to demonstrate the new SIH 5010-BT (BT = Bluetooth). The SIH is the further development of the thousand-times tried and tested SIH 3000, which has been developed and produced by scemtec and used by gas and oil producers throughout the world for many years now. The handheld LF- RFID reader system SIH 5010-BT will now replace its predecessor, the SIH 3000, and with that is succeeding to a difficult inheritance in the tough field of the industrial identification of gas cylinders. The greatest new development with SIH 5010 is the wireless connection of the reader via its Bluetooth interface. Its built-in battery is designed to perform up to 8000 read / write processes with just one battery charge.
We are proud to be able to officially announce that, on the basis of the SIH 5010-BT, which is currently decoding 125 kHz transponders, further developments are set to follow for the “Multi Transponder” handheld devices for 13.56 MHz ( HF ) and 868 MHz ( UHF ).

On account of the limited stand area we of course were only able to show and actively demonstrate a small proportion of our products and developments. We had to present other scemtec RFID reader electronics in the cabinets or leave them at home. - This was a shame as, in doing so, we could have shown and explained to you so much more, and perhaps offer some ideas for the feasibility of passive and active RFID in the world of automatic identification!
But perhaps you’ll visit us in Wehnrath – Cologne? We always have a great deal of time for our customers or those who perhaps wish to be our customers. We have everything “at the ready” in our demonstration room.
If you are interested in our systems or would like to have a free-of-charge product demonstration, then please complete our contact form or simply give us a call.
